I suppose the reason I have some skepticism about the current approach 
(push research very hard, do no marketing) is that I am not sure I
believe the research will be fruitful quickly enough and at a low
enough price. 

The people who are paying for the research are, for the most part,
cryonicists. The pool of funds available from cryonicists for research
is small -- right now, were it not for a couple of wealthy
cryonicists, research would be dead. I am not sure this pool has
enough resources to actually make reversable long term suspended
animation a reality, which is what I think would be needed to truly
stifle skepticism.

Given this, the only way to get enough money for research may require
a larger pool of cryonicists, which may require doing far more about
sales even though we cannot currently sell the full product.
