Most religions regard life as a gift from god. Surely the best way to show gratitude for a gift is to look after it and make it last as long as possible? The god-congregation relationship is psychologically similar to the parent-children relationship. How many parents have been irritated when they buy a child a new toy only to have him leave it out in the rain to get rusty? They accuse their child of being ungrateful. I should have thought that there is a good case for saying that not looking after yourself is a sin. I was certainly taught that by Christians when I was at school. "The Bible" says that God created the universe and everything in it. That includes cryonics - it exists, that is fact. Its purpose is to look after life. Not to use it is a sin. Your God is telling you, though me, to sign up now, at once! :-) -- Sincerely, * Longevity Report: http://www.longevb.demon.co.uk/lr.htm John de Rivaz * Fractal Report: http://www.longevb.demon.co.uk/fr.htm **************** Homepage:http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohndeR In the information age, sharing can increase world wealth enormously, because giving information does not decrease your information.
