Subject: Re: Trusts/ Law against Perpetuities

Hello everyone. This is Rudi Hoffman back from a wonderful Thanksgiving
reunion in Anderson, Indiana.

Re: Thomas Donaldson, and others who have concerns about the "Law against
perpetuities" in trusts.

Most states have a law that a trust cannot provide directives for longer than
The lifetime of anyone mentioned in the trust and an additional 21 years and 9
months past this point in time.

Not all states have this, and obviously other countries have different laws.

I do not think we should take this single facet of trust law and make it the
overarching problem that many people have determined it to be.

One solution may be the offshore trust mentioned in George Smith's posting.

I do not think that a collectivist mentality suggested by Mr. Ettinger is the
solution to all trust needs, that we simply determine that all assets go to
our cryonics provider.

More later.
Rudi Hoffman
