The reason some people choose death over the chance cryonics offers is
because the do not fully understand what the future holds. For instance, if
they are sick or in bad spirits they may not understand that the future will
offer them the chance to alter their minds. Grumpy people can "feel" the
joy of being a happy person. Sad people can feel the joy of being a happy
person.

In other words, whatever the reason one does not want to live on is, if we
have the technology to improve that condition, the person will probably want
to live on.

Death is the ultimate thing that is wrong with life. If we aspire to become
the best we can, we must remove death as an end to life for every person,
animal, creature, being, etc. And, help these creatures to be happy as
possible.

Only when all thinking beings can live forever in states of happiness,
without causing harm to any other thinking beings, can we really say we have
made ourselves as good as possible.

I agree. Ethics dictate that all living things should have the chance to
live on forever in happiness.
