I know why you feel this way, mainly because information once lost cannot be
recovered (right?). There is another way of looking at this, however. Email
me privately if you are interested in details.

By the way, I am sorry that the discussion of the (to me very exciting)
possibilities of scientific resurrection in a more distant future upset
Charles Platt, and maybe others, so they unsubscribed. Once again I'll offer
to help in setting up/managing a new forum if people want that. My time is
limited too, but I am willing to consider making a commitment. On the other
hand, it seems that discussion on this sort of topic comes and goes on this
forum; you don't see it for long stretches then it somehow flares up again.
