X-Message-Number: 11597 From: Thomas Donaldson <> Subject: assisted suicide remains important for cryonics Date: Thu, 22 Apr 1999 22:36:58 +1000 (EST) To Bob Ettinger: While I too would say the cases in which someone would do better not to commit suicide are quite frequent, as someone who found himself facing the other case I still consider it important. Hospices are fine, but I do not wish my brain to be destroyed while living in a hospice, nor do I think anyone would. The question of whether or not we can be assisted to commit suicide still remains important for cryonicists. Or to all those reading Cryonet: How do you know that YOU won't find yourself facing Alzheimer's or a growing brain tumor? Or other conditions (yes, relatively rare) which can also kill you before current medicine considers you to be "dead". Best and long long life to all, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=11597
