Yes, I found this very VERY narrow and shortsighted of the presentation.
Clearly, eternal humans would expand throughout space, allowing for
infinitely many new children (and hence artists).

The unreasonable focus on the constriction of growth caused by immortal
humans should have been balanced with the opposite extreme- what is
potentially possible through our new capabilities.
