"I can't convince even one world leader to change his tie color.
I doubt you are anyone else will influence in any meaningful way how any
particular society deals with citizen gun ownership."

So its that bad as many have written from US, they must also have guns due
to bad democracy in fear of the government getting sour.
Its not like that at all over here where I've learned how to influence in
topnotch politics for decades now, from home costing nothing but hours,
mostly and simply by writing to the rulers, to their homes in order to
surpass the secreterial-filter. Their addresses are public material, and its
a fair chance they will read it on the spot at home if its good as it better
be to get respect. Another way is if many also writes to the rulers at
office, they use to react. A "world leader" is harder I don't need to reach
often, the closest today may be Carl Bildt. I got his homeadress also, write
to him often and can probably make him change tie if I can give him a good
reason. Can you do the same system in US?

This is one reason against relocation to US where I will be an immigrant,
starting almost perhaps from scratch in that fashion, as similar ones have
to here.

Gun ownership is not a problem to work on here, but most other issues have
gone my way in decades, with or without my influence, who knows. Sometimes
they have done exactly as only I have suggested, that's my reward for
working like that. Today's harder nuts to crack is i.e. Cryonics legality,
nuclearpower versus the greenhouse-effect, and immigration as cost us to
much each year, but that's all in the right direction except perhaps the
greenhouse-effect not fast enough.

Doing work like this is also good for Cryonics, promoting it and for revival
since its a better chance they like to get folks back who have made benefits
for the society.
