I was in that position once. This was one reason for starting Longevity Report - by collecting articles from diverse sources, many in my own country and sending free copies to people around me I could demonstrate that there are other articulate people interested in the same subject, men and women, young and old. In the early days my then companion Karen said "no women would contemplate such things" - she was proved wrong by letters and articles from women readers. My parents opined that young people may want to live for ever, but older people like them are tired of life. Bob Brakeman's article on Charles Amlin <http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Sauna/3748/lr27.htm#The Saga of > suggested otherwise. None of these people themselves turned to cryonics, but at least they respect my position with it. Today the Internet makes this sort of thing easy, but the march of progress will indeed open up other doorways through which closet cryonicists will emerge. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz **************************************************************************** my homepage links to Longevity Report, Fractal Report, my singles club for people in Cornwall, music, Inventors' report, an autobio and various other projects: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohndeR Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=12028
