Subject: Nanotechnology research
From: Thomas R Mazanec <>

Nanotechnology research is necessary (even if not sufficient)
for success in cryonic revival, especially at this primitive stage.
THEN when we get the tools (nanotech and others) we can start working
with them. But we have to get them first.
Suppose the government, in the 1880's asked Alexander Bell and
Thomas Edison to develope television. They would have been
wasting their time trying to do this with current technology...
they would have needed vacumn tubes, electromagnetic theory,
and so forth. Better to support basic research to get the
methods and supplies needed to create television.
