It was also the time when cryonics began. Today, transplantation is mainstream medicine, thousands of people await organs for transplant, companies are developing bioartificial organs, other companies plan to transplant animal organs into humans, laboratories are beginning to grow organs in vitro, and several laboratories are on the verge of solving the immune system problems that have long held back the transplantation of non- vital organs and body parts. Yet, there are currently no research teams in academic settings, or in companies, large or small, conducting organ cryopreservation research for trans- plant, except for 21st Century Medicine. ---Saul Kent, CEO, 21st Century Medicine Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=12249
