I've thought about what I wrote regarding 'weird' people at the cryonics
meetings and I must say that although I considered some strange, the
overall thrust, as I saw it, of the idea behind cryonics was so pro-life
and happiness, that I saw it fit to sit down with some people with whom I
would not otherwise have occasion to meet ..let alone spend time with,
and discuss our shared interest in the impossible (by current standards).

This was probably good for me anyway, since I'd been around various
intellectual snobs at an 'elite' law school for several years and could
use the dose of real people , worts and all.

Some were 'weird', but all supported cryonics. And all were basically
honest.
If some newcomers were turned off to cryonics due to such people, then
perhaps their interest was less than strong.
