X-Message-Number: 12752 From: Date: Mon, 8 Nov 1999 23:36:38 EST Subject: correction In my earlier post today, I was a little careless, referring to "closed-end tech or mostly-tech index fund such as QQQ or XLK" That wasn't precisely right, although the innacuracy has little importance. For example, the QQQ is not an index fund, but a unit trust designed to closely mimic the performance of the NASDAQ 100. For technical/legal details on this and on the XLK and the various index-like "Spiders" such as SPY (S&P500 tracking unit trust), see the prospectuses, available from the NASD or the AMEX.
