Always on the lookout for something that will provide longevity so that the cryonics technology available at the time of my death will be as advanced as possible, I remember receiving a message in connection with a service which would store your dna. At the time I received the message I did not fully appreciate the implications for longevity. There is a chance that, in the future, technology may exist to reinvigorate our aging cells by employing the methods of genetic engineering to infuse them with fresh copies of our mitocondrial dna. By taking a "snapshot" of our dna at our current age, which would hopefully have a copy with less information loss. Does anyone remember seeing this message or know of such a service? /gary Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=12823
