Subject: Promotion of Cryonics

I cannot speak with any authority here but it would seem to me that the
best way to promote cryonics would be to get proof of concept.
If the PROMETHEOUS project could only find sufficient funding then
the new cryopreservation technology from 21cm (methoxylated perfusates
and ice blockers - Fahy, Wowk, Darwin and others) could be worked into
a new suspension procedure and tested on laboratory rats. If the experiment
could be repeated by independent investigators, confirmed and appear in a
peer reviewed journal, the press would do the rest. One immediate spinoff
would be the creation of an improved suspension protocol for humans.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
