For John Krug: No, I realized that she was cashing his checks. The
real issue (assuming that she really was tryng to freeze him 
rather than had simply murdered him) was why she did that. After
all, keeping a large hunk of meat in a fridge will cost money ...
not to mention the problem that would arise if the police found
out what she was doing. 

Since I did not see the original article, the true aims of
this woman remained unclear. They still do, at least from what
I've heard. As for murder, yes, murderers also do such things,
and that makes this woman's problem stand out even more. If he
had simply died, then her motives become hard to read.

Ultimately, as we see from the existence of the newspaper article,
whatever her true aims were, she failed.
