ALCOR SELECTS NEW PRESIDENT/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The Board of Directors of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation has
elected Steve Bridge as Alcor's new President and CEO, effective 22 January
1992. Mr. Bridge was elected at a special meeting of Alcor's Board on
Saturday, 21 November 1992. Current President and CEO Carlos Mondragon has
agreed to remain in office until Mr. Bridge assumes his new duties.

Mr. Bridge, currently a member of Alcor's Board of Directors, is a
well known cryonicist. Most recently, he has been the President of Alcor
Indiana. In addition, he was the co-founder, with Mike Darwin, of Cryonics
Magazine and the Institute for Advanced Biological Studies, which later merged
with Alcor.

He will be leaving his present professional position as librarian and
administrative assistant for the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library and
moving to California to begin working for Alcor.

"Carlos Mondragon has helped bring Alcor through many hard times, and
I have great respect and appreciation for all of the work he has done," said
Mr. Bridge. "I am grateful that his knowledge and advice will still be
available to Alcor in his position as a Director."

"Since Alcor's primary responsibilities are performing suspensions and
caring for our patients, as Alcor President my first priorities will be to
assure myself of our technical capabilities and to plan for continued progress
in those areas. Financial worries are a constant for any non-profit
organization, so I plan to emphasize fund-raising for research, improvements
in patient security (including careful planning for a new facility when that
becomes possible), increasing the general operating budget, and overall
financial stability through the Endowment Fund and other instruments. Since
over the past four years Alcor has expanded to be a truly national and even
international organization, I will work to increase communication and
interaction between Alcor Central and the various Alcor chapters and
individual members."

"I look forward to joining the Alcor staff of dedicated individuals
who have given so much of themselves. Their determination to make cryonics
work has kept Alcor advancing even during the great legal and social
uncertainties of the past five years," stated Mr. Bridge.

"Alcor's committment to 'Life' and to getting its members to the
future has never flagged. I ask the members of Alcor to please join with us
in putting aside past differences so that we can build an organization that
inspires their confidence and pride for all the future to come."

CRYONICS EXPERIENCE

1977-1981 President and co-founder (with Michael Darwin) of Institute
for Advanced Biological Studies, Inc. This was the first
               Indianapolis cryonics organization.

1979 Co-author with Michael Darwin of CRYONICS: Threshold to the
Future, the booklet that later turned into the current
               Alcor introductory book.

1981-1983 Co-founder and co-editor (again with Michael Darwin) of
CRYONICS Magazine. He has been a frequent contributor to
               the magazine over the years.

1982-current Suspension Member of Alcor Life Extension Foundation

1980 Primary author of the IABS Suspension Sign-up documents, in
consultation with attorneys and others. When IABS merged
with Alcor, he handled the complete revision of the
paperwork; and led the re-write team on the latest
major revision of the paperwork in 1990. This required
accommodating the ideas of many different Alcor leaders.

1986 (approx) Midwest Coordinator for Alcor. In that capacity, he has
 - current given at least 30 cryonics slide presentations to various
groups around the Midwest, as well as several radio,
television, and newspaper interviews. He is currently
President of the Alcor Indiana chapter.

1987-1990 Certified Emergency Medical Technician. He wrote the first
article in CRYONICS advocating that members take EMT
courses. Certification lapsed when he was unable to get
enough update hours during his Riverside stay (below).

1988-89 One of the two primary editors (with Hugh Hixon) of ALCOR:
Threshold to Tomorrow (now called Cryonics--Reaching for
Tomorrow). Mr. Bridge had a great deal to do with the final
structure and content of the book, helping to forge
compromises (both in style and in content) between Mike
Darwin, Brian Wowk, Jerry Leaf, and other contributors.

1988-current Participant in five cryonic suspensions, including three
transports. The first of these suspensions was in
Indianapolis, and led to a CRYONICS article entitled "Home
Town Cryonics, " which showed Alcor members how they could
prepare for a cryonic suspension in their own area.

1989 Designed Alcor slide show, based on talks by Mike Darwin,
so that members could purchase slide sets and talk
instructions. Twenty members have done so.

1990 Worked three months (March-May) at the Alcor facility in
Riverside, on unpaid leave from his library job. In that
capacity, he helped with correspondence, information
requests, CRYONICS editing and assembly, medications
inventory, tours and radio interviews (especially for the
Donaldson case), planning and leadership for the Alcor
presence at the Space Development Conference, and worked on
two suspensions, including one emergency transport.

1991-current Certified Alcor Transport Technician.

1989-current Frequent contributor to Kevin Q. Brown's Cryonet.
