Subject: The road to successful suspended animation

There is only one road to successful suspended animation, and that is via a
vastly expanded research effort. Recent progress in this area by a few
groups has provided the first glimmers of hope that the goal which seemed
impossible with previously existing technology may indeed become possible.
There is a formidable task ahead, however, and unless the rate of
progress is greatly accelerated, most of us may not realize the benefits of
     the ultimate achievement.

The magnitude of research needed requires major funding. Unfortunately few
amongst us have enough wealth to contribute at this level, but lesser
amounts will also help our progress. For those who can spare larger sums,
now is the time to come forward. There is no better investment than your
life(despite Jack Benny's uncertainty), and when that is gone, your assets
won't be of any further enjoyment except to your heirs. Beyond our own
group, among the ever increasing numbers of tech billionaires there may be
some with mortality concerns similar to ours, who perhaps now can be
convinced that our goal is attainable. To identify these and other
possible supporters, we need an effective, coordinated fund-raising effort,
possibly incorporating the few present entities into an integrated
organization with the broad-based participation necessary to do the
extensive personal networking essential to any successful fund-raising
     effort.
