Brian Wowk does no one a service when he lumps all environmentalists
together as life-hating technophobes and then concludes that the 
membership of the Sierra Club, etc., would be strongly anti-cryonic.
There is no logic here.

Granted, some of the noisiest "environmentalists" are working a socialist
and/or technophobic agenda. It's not true of all; I doubt that it's
true of even 20% of the "regular folks" who see environmentalism and
preservation of species as an issue.

I agree that there is a problem with political types who see environ-
mentalism as a bandwagon ready to be hijacked and driven off in their
own direction. The answer is to resist (and revile) those efforts, not
to try to trash anybody who holds environmental concerns.
