In my earlier post today I wrote the following gibberish:

It should have been:

If there are two otherwise identical rocks, one behind me and one in front of 
you, only one of us is in danger of stubbing his toe, and we can easily see 
who that is.

Even that is pretty sloppy. Maybe a little better:

If one of two otherwise identical rocks is hanging by a thread over my head, 
and the other is lying on the ground off to the side, only one is dangerous, 
and we know which one that is.
