Actually, I believe so. I optimistically think the world will be a far more prosperous and even freer place then it is now, but they will be afflicted with a great amount of pride regarding their near-utopian world. They will very much want to... SHOW OFF!! They can have celebrations and seminars explaining to each other just how great their society is, but that would not be nearly as self-satisfying as reanimating a person from the backward and barbaric early 21st century and showing them around! This is a key reason why I see reanimation being perfected and carried out by a future society. The tv and radio specials, documentaries, books, and magazine/net articles produced to cover these occurences will be boundless. How the citizens and politicians of the brave new world will gush inside as they press the cryonauts for expressions of amazement and gratitude for waking up to such a far better world. It will give a thrill to the masses when they hear stories of how hard life was back in the "old days." The horror of going to the dentist to get a tooth drilled on or pulled! The irritation of being forgetful or at least cognitively limited as compared to their present day. The horror of old age and chronic illness which resulted in death! Even the common cold or the stomach flu will sound so horribly unpleasant to them. And all the deaths due to unsafe motor vehicles and their incompetant drivers! The list will go on and on... Politicians will tell citizens, and parents tell children, just how lucky they are to live in the "modern" world. I will not really mind such exploitation, would any of you?
