I owe Charles Platt an apology for posting such a strange, rude and
incomprehensible message to Cryonet a couple of weeks ago and for placing his
name in it. Mr. Platt was kind enough to publish my response to his
membership survey in Cryonics magazine several months ago and I appreciate
that very much. When I first joined ALCOR I attended the 20th year
celebration at the Mariott hotel in Riverside and was encouraged by the
apparent stability of the organization and the goodwill and respect that the
members showed for each other. Maybe at the 30th aniversary celebration,
members will be able to look back at how well the current conflicts were
settled.

Hopefully, the FBI will not have taken the same interest in ALCOR that they
have in the Hauptmann Institute. Hopefully, transactions with this institute
will have never been sanctioned by ALCOR. Hopefully, Saul Kent will have
never been able to exercise his influence in ALCOR in order to further change
the makeup of the Board of Directors, or to effect their decisions.

Mr. Platt, I hope that in ten years you are still a member of a viable
cryonics organization. Merry Christmas to you.
