Greetings,

Thanks to Mike Perry for bringing up the idea of using small jet charters for
quicker patient transportation. I have been thinking along this line for a few
days now, and I have to believe that this idea is not new, although rarely if
ever used. The recent Alcor suspension took 30+ hours for the team to get to the
location, due to airline schedules and

holiday travel, per the report here on Cryonet, but cooldown was started before
that. But to minimize damage I understand that the cooldown to liquid nitrogen
temperature needs to be initiated as soon as possible, and transportation times
of a day and more is not ideal. I signed up for whole body suspension with
Alcor, so they will get $120,000 at my

suspension, so I would be all for adding a few thousand dollars to this amount
as an OPTION for faster transportation to the Alcor facility. I am not an expert
at costs of this possible service, but I heard long ago that twin-engine
turboprops are much cheaper to operate, and are nearly as fast as jets, and may
be able to land at shorter strips, perhaps a

factor for some members. Phoenix is a large city, surely there are several
charter services available, and at any particular time, even in the middle of
the night, one may be able to fly to the closest airstrip to a needy member
with not too much time required for pre-flight. I live near Springfield,
Missouri, so there are no direct flights between here

and Phoenix, so it would take an Alcor team a long time to get here unless the
airline schedules matched near perfectly, not likely. Someone at Alcor: please
look into this.

Best Regards,
