I didn't bother to reply to your quote of Wakfer because I wasn't
addressing anything about Wakfer, I was addressing statements made by
Robert Ettinger which seemed misleading. I am under no obligation to
broaden my interests by responding to text by another person that you feel
like placing before me. I mean, if I decide to quote Mike Darwin, would
you feel an obligation to respond to that? If Wakfer was a co-worker of
mine, there might be some slight tangential relevance, but in fact I have
often had my own disagreements with Paul, he lives in Canada, and I
haven't communicated directly with him in months. As far as I'm concerned,
you might just as well quote the Pope about cryonics and ask me to
comment.

So, I don't see the relevance of the Wakfer post. And as for Alcor, I
have already made it clear that the positive spin which Alcor puts on its
news does bother me. That's why I suggested an independent news source
would be a good idea. Maybe you didn't read what I wrote.

My posts about your statements about vitrification were concerned with
just that: Your statements about vitrification. Not Wakfer's statements,
and not Alcor's statements. Your statements. Why do you try to change the
subject?

And now you claim that you never never suggested that Alcor's
vitrification solution might be more toxic than the CI glycerol solution.
You invite me to go back and check what you wrote, but, typically, you
DON'T CITE IT. Should I spend the next happy hour digging through the
CryoNet archives for the relevant phrase? If you had a real interest in
clarification, you would CITE your phrase and explain in what way it was
misunderstood-not only by me, but by two scientists who read it and both
interpreted it as I did. However I suggest your concern is not to clarify,
your concern is to obfuscate. And this is what I have found hard to deal
with all along.
