Subject: pointless arguments and backward info

Hi everyone!

I've been away from Cryonet because I've been putting together the latest
issue of PERIASTRON. Although I haven't sent it out (no printers) I
basically have little in cryonics to do this weekend and so here I am.

1. The article describing the use of stem cells describes something
PERIASTRON has been discussed for several issues. It is even discussed
a bit in the latest issue. Stem cells are new and important, and I
(perhaps wrongly??) believe that if you want to find out about them,
PERIASTRON is a better source than any newsprint.

2. There seems to be some acrimony on the issue of just who does better
cryonics research, Alcor or the Cryonics Institute. Without making
any claim, plus or minus, I will say that such discussion as put
together in Cryonet does not look like a productive discussion. If
Alcor wants to get the Institute to seriously look at making use
of the services of its new & separate suspension arm, it will have
to be willing to discuss these services .... somewhere, not necessarily
on Cryonet. And if the Cryonics Institute really wants to improve its
services they would do well to try to find out as much as they can
about them... and withholding criticisms until then, at least.

By now, though, the discussion looks like its become poisoned for a
while. Might be a good idea for both parties to shut up for a while.

Best and long long life to all,

				Thomas Donaldson
