X-Message-Number: 15790 From: Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2001 10:54:50 EST Subject: space available A prospective member asked whether there was limited space available at the CI facility. Possibly others would like the answer too: Cryonics Institute will be 25 years old next month. We grew very slowly for many years, more rapidly now. We started out in a small facility in Detroit, now a much larger one in Clinton Township. For some years our operations required donations from a few of the members; now our average reliable revenues keep up with our basic needs (even though we could always make good use of more). We see no reason why things should not continue to improve. But we have contingency plans both for hard times and for boom times. If there should be hard times, we can get by if necessary with volunteer help only, and we own our property free and clear. If membership should zoom, we can expand at almost any required rate, without incurring debt. Our present facility has plenty of additional patient storage space, and we expect to be testing a new storage unit next week.
