I have contributed to INC and urge others to, but I am not part of the organization. However, I would like to point out that it is a hassle to get and keep a "Merchant Account" to let you accept credit card payments. But there is now a convenient way around this: Paypal.com is set up mostly to facilitate payments when you've won an online auction. You can send money to anyone just by giving PayPal your credit card number and the amount. Thus you can pay for auctions you've won, send money to family or friends, whatever. I think INC could set up its recipient account in just a few minutes and then people could contribute by credit card. In the past there has been no charge to either party, because Paypal got interest on the "float", the short time the money remained in their account. Now I hear they may charge a little, but that's just a rumor. In any event they seem well regarded as reliable and are much used for eBay auctions. So if many people would like to charge it, this looks like an easy way to set up that capability. Alan Mole Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=16203
