Fred then quotes a previous post describing a four-minute local news segment that included Alcor stock footage and general information about cryonics which was presented in a reasonably positive way. But Fred--this is PRECISELY what you would have received from the production company in Phoenix that wanted to do a 5-minute cryonics news item including Alcor, until Alcor refused to cooperate simply because I would also appear on the show. Why are you so enthused about one TV spot, and so paranoid (a pejorative term but I don't know what else to say) about another? What on earth do you imagine I would say on such a show? Even if I said something negative about an organization, the production company would have no interest in cryopolitics and would edit it out. But I have never said anything negative to any media person about any organization, even though I have many concerns about CI which I have mentioned on this mail list. Just what is the problem, here? What is the source of this (to me) bizarre decision to withdraw your cooperation from a helpful and enthusiastic production company, which wanted to provide national (not local) exposure for Alcor? Why would you make such a decision, which has now forced the producers to go to CI instead? --CP Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=16301
