Subject: Dewar's boiloff rate?

: "Trygve Bauge"
>Boiloff rate is typically 14 liters a day for a 4 person dewar I seem to
recall.
>Expect to add about 450 liters every month.

Why is the boiloff rate so high, or it seems to be to a layman? Or is it the
nature of the beast? I understand that the dewars are closed, so the boiloff
should be minimum. Or the dewar's mechanism allows for this
boiloff? Is there any reason why the containers should not be 100% boiloff
proof?

Thanks!

Sincerely,
