I think future generations will not understand why the vast majority of
humanity with access to Cryonics dismissed it and instead did other things
that ensured their nonexistence i.e. had themselves euthanized to avoid
pain and prayed to get to paradise.

The world of the future will NOT look back on this time as remarkably
distinct from everything before it in terms of barbarism , brutality
,superstition and perhaps even human development.

To embrace in the name of love the profound widespread suffering, torment
and grief of the universe as a product of supreme omnipotent benevolence is
to become nothing less than an advocating accomplice to it.

"I remember considering it a
redundancy. Why? Because at that time, I was deeply religious and was
sure that "God" was going to resurrect me, along with the rest of the human

was already assured?"

DLG has stated exactly why many dismiss cryonics. Why bother with cryonics
when eternal paradise is waiting for you? Mike Perry might add that you
could survive even without cryoincs given Multiverse immortality.

Having said all that, what should be done about this? Many would argue that
the religious should not be pushed kicking and screaming into a dewar
because even though we really know what is best for them it is their choice
and their life. But how far are we willing to take this argument? I posted
the following questions some days go and got no response:

When is it ,if ever, our moral duty by act or omission to prevent the death
of others? For example a person crossing the street who does not see a s
peeding truck or the insane drinking gasoline or a child jumping from a
window on the tenth floor "like Superman does"? At the bare minimum even if
nonexistence (temporary or permanent) is desirable as an experience it is
unobtainable due to the Death Advantage Fallacy (DAF). To try to obtain the
unobtainable is as illogical as the example situations of people who are
about to kill themselves that I have given. Would they actually be happier
nonexistent? Does a person need a reason to (kill= nonexistence)
themselves? Cryopreservation is at least an attempt to continue to exist
hopefully with less pain. This makes sense however choosing death does not.
