In fact, it was one of the best experiences of my adult life. I just want to take the time to say a deeply heartfelt "thank you!" to everyone involved in making the conference a reality as well as my trip down there. : ) The speakers chosen were excellent and I learned so much. I look forward to reading the transcripts so I can try to absorb all that I missed the first time around. Max's opening talks really grabbed me with the way he reviewed what progress had been made by technology and the institute. It gave me a sense of history in the making. Natasha introduced her extremely important new organization, Pro-Act. With this she will forge an alliance to counter the negative luddite influences out there in the mass media. My best wishes are with her in this endeavor and I hope we can all help out in some way. I met so many incredible people I had only known through the extrolist and cryonet. And found the informal conference member discussions throughout the conference and afterward very fascinating. The networking there is the invisible other half of things I did not realize about till I got there. Meeting Linda Chamberlain was a real treat for me! She is a very warm and outgoing person. Alcor and Fred Chamberlain are very fortunate to have her! I wish to thank Rudi Hoffman who put the finishing touches on my life insurance paperwork. Thanks Rudi for being so patient with me. :) After having read about Dr. Jerry Lemler in Cryonics magazine I was very excited to have the chance to meet him in person. It was nice to feel the warmth and enthusiasm I sensed about him in text and video. We are lucky to have him with us. And I got to meet Kennita who is a bundle of energy! A very nice and energetic person who is great to discuss topics with. I had fun arguing with her about the relative merits of nuclear vrs. sun and wind power to solve our national energy problems. I took the latter position. My deepest thanks to Max More, E. Shaun Russell, Natasha, Robert Bradbury, Brent Allsop and his father, and Spike Jones and his wife Shelly who all in various ways made my trip possible. I am forever grateful!! I think these conferences could be habit forming... :) best wishes, John _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=16622
