I feel that you are mistaken in thinking there is "proof" for the answer
to this. Someone who doesn't want to live is not easy to persuade. If I
could do that I would be a world renowned psychologist \ philosopher \
religious leader. It wasn't meant to prove that I am right and the
questioner wrong, it was meant to trigger off something in the minds of
people watching who might be attuned to our way of thinking.

I had about thirty seconds to explain what cryonics was, how much it cost,
why I thought it would work and why I was doing it and wanted to live
forever. I've tried whittering on about how wonderful life is and it
does't even convince other cryonicists. Some bits of it just aren't nice
(and I haven't even been to Rigel IV yet!) but I just know that I want to
stay alive.

So what would have persuaded you, and would you have put it in away that
was memorable would have taken a few seconds to say? Are you signed up? If
so what convinced you, if not why not?

Garret
