Subject: obvious

Obviously CryoNet is an unmoderated mail list which cannot be "policed"
by me, or by anyone else, other than its owner. I can only state my views,
as others state theirs. In my view, Trygve Bauge is a social menace, an
enemy of anyone who hopes for science-based standards in cryonics, and
potentially a threat to the long-term viability of cryonics itself. Bauge
has already caused one small town to outlaw cryonics. I can't think of
anyone else who has this dubious achievement on his resume.

If every participant on this mail list behaved as selfishly as Bauge,
making multiple posts consisting largely of copies of private email, the
list would become totally unworkable. But selfish, self-important people
obviously have no interest in the fundamental principle of acting as you
would wish other people to act.

As for the snide reference to my supposed journalistic standards, we all
adopt different writing styles and standards in different media. If I were
writing a personal letter, I wouldn't expect it to be critiqued using
standards that are commonly applied to magazine journalism. CryoNet, which
reaches a small audience and has an informal format, falls somewhere in
between.

All of this should be too obvious to be worth mentioning.
