Each easily transferred live and well into his own Nalgene cryogenic test tube (i.e., two-inch-long-ampules). I added the screw on the tops, tied the two ampoules together with a "twistem" and a rubberband. I tied a long string to it with a heavy finger ring for a weight near the remaining ample. Then I lifted the lid on the cryostorage unit and submerged them. After two and a half hours I removed the payload, removed one of the ampules and put the other one back in LN2. My prepaired work area was exceptionally well lit. I unscrewed the ampoule and the fly slid right out dead (errr...terminally comatose). I positioned my knife directly on target and then turned out the light. The fire fly was glowing on it's own! This was quite unexpected. The light faded over time but was still dectable still detectable 1.5 hours later. Regards, David C. Johnson, Raleigh Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=16956
