This may be the idea of some folks, mostly created by Alcor's prices. If you 
can finance a suspension using insurance, it don't holds. So the argument 
seems simple to debug.

I think the real problem is more entranched in many minds. I would say it 
comes from basic education. For example everyone has undergone some brain 
wash about history, history gives a very poor and brief perspective about 
time. If there was as much teaching in fields such geology, astronomy, 
cosmology, Joe Smith (or for that matter Jean Dupont in France) would have a 
mind more open to long term projects and ideas. This would be a big step to 
promote cryonics and a revolution in the political arena.

Sorry, but I think you have to take custommer here to craddle and teach them 
long time visions.
