So do I. She is saying all the uninformed things she says merely to be cute and
entertaining

so as to promote her book. She has no interest in journalistic truth, if there
is such a

thing. Recall that John Grigg first introduced us to her and her book. I wish
there was a

public forum to expose er ah debate her. I would deliciously love exposing her
ignorance and

her lack of intellect. Her statement about preserving perfect specimens of
bodies is a good

indication of her level of intellect...pretty low I'd say if that's all she
values.

John, this link did not work. Could you check it and repost please? I'd very
much like to hear

Umm, George my friend, what soul? My "soul" has no self worth because it's
existence is pure

myth. I have no soul and am damned proud of that fact. Or perhaps you are
referring to the

actual Greek terminology used in the bible that often gets misinterpreted as
meaning spirit

when in fact it means *body*, yes? If this is the case then I can agree that I
have a *soul*

because I have a *body* and within that body I have a brain complete with it's
*material*

connections that martial energy both electrical and chemical around to and fro
to produce my

mind and the record of my experiences which constitute my personality...my
identity. That

identity, owing to it's unique experiences *is* uniquely mine and worth
something to me.

I do not and never would wish to deidentify from any, not one, of my experiences
no matter how

terrifying, horrible, painful, etc. (believe me I know terror, pain, horror and
all their

cousins very very well). Those experiences have molded me into who I am today
and I am

stronger and brighter for them. I know *bliss* very very well as well. I felt
exceeding bliss

the very moment I shed the shackles of mystical belief and became able to rely
upon my own
wits, my own logic, my own rational mind alone.

I thought of this too when yesterday I saw the news item about his illness. I
have great

admiration for the members of the Beatles as I believe they are truly the
fathers of modern

Rock and Roll and I dearly love the genre...but that's just my opinion and I
won't debate it.

However, my next thought, especially as the news feed I saw had him sitting next
what appeared

to be his swami or guru, was that he's, as we all know, a confirmed deathist
reincarnation

believer waiting for his mystical ascension and I doubt anyone will convince him
otherwise in

time. Pity...what a great loss. Now that I think of it what was the
justification for his

sound bite? One could interpret it as a plug for his deathist beliefs. He says
he's prepared

for his fate and at peace or words to that effect. Read between the lines and
you get, 'I'm
going to a better existence...follow my example'. Rubbish!

By the way, I'm back! ;)

James
