** A note from Dr Jerry Lemler **

To Alcor Southern California members:

As the new Alcor Medical Director, I would like to make you an offer to join
me in the development of an exciting new program that is currently underway
in the Southern California area: Project Future Bound.

Project-Future-Bound objectives include:

1) Greater speed and superior suspension for members.

2) In the near term, by September 2001, provide Alcor Southern-California
members enhanced local service and facilities, including field
surgical-procedures and field washout.

3) In the longer term, added local capabilities for field vitrification and
cooling to dry-ice temperature, prior to transport to Alcor Central.

Specific strengthening of Southern-California capabilities will include:

1) Implementation: Medical procedures by MD-led local surgical-teams, at
local facilities, and the following to be ready by September 2001: surgical
instrumentation, appropriate OR facilitation, suitable transportation
capacity, and requisite communications capabilities.

2) Operations: Coordinate with Alcor Central and local resources as
necessary to respond to Southern-California member-emergencies.

A critical part of the Project-Future-Bound implementation is the vital role
that the Alcor CryoTransport (ACT) Team will perform. The successful rapid
and professional response to local-member emergencies will be dependent upon
the strength of your area ACT-Team members.

I would ask that you give serious consideration to joining your local Team.

This will provide you the opportunity to contribute directly to the Alcor
family, as well as to learn first-hand about the techniques and processes of
preserving lives for the future. There are Alcor-dues benefits. You will
be joining one of the strongest local ACT-Teams in the world, which already
includes Dr Robert Newport, MD, and Dr Kat Cotter, DC, as well as other
members of notable experience.

The current opportunity is exceptional: Project-Future-Bound is now in the
process of realization, and also an ACT-training class is available this
summer here at Alcor Central, Scottsdale, Arizona: August 10 - 12.

I would be pleased to have you consider joining this world-class
emergency-response team, to personally learn about the latest technologies
(including vitrification), and to very-possibly increase your own chances
for personal survival.

To join out Team, and for questions, please contact me by email
( <mailto:> ), or by phone (Alcor 480 /
905-1906 extension 102).

You may also wish to talk to your local Project-Future-Bound Coordinator,
Russell Cheney (ACT-A) at >NET <mailto:>NET> and
310 / 316-5761.

Dr Jerry Lemler, MD
Alcor Medical Director
