I would call that a marvelously good number--if I believed it. If more than a 
third of Sci. Am. readers joined cryonics organizations, we would be in 
clover. That is far, far higher than the national average. But of course it's 
nonsense, since making a mark on a poll is slightly different than actually 
joining and contracting and funding.
