It is repeated on all the plastination websites, in any case. Few details are given, however, so I've contacted the Institute for Plastination for more info, also regarding the rate of decomposition in (uncooled) plastinated specimens, legal & financial issues etc. They've said that they'll look into the matter, but they're sure taking their sweet time (months). Maybe it wouldn't hurt if some other cryonicists contacted them as well. The IfP's website can be found at: http://www.plastination.com/ You could try to contact them via (I also have a private email address, but I don't think the guy would much appreciate it if I posted it here). Yes, I definitely think that plastination has a lot of potential as a (relatively) cheap and concenient cryonics alternative. Some thoughts on the subject can be found at: http://anzwers.org/free/chimaera/plastination.html The page is a bit dated, but afaik it's the only one that deals with this particular topic (cryonics vs plastination). ___________________________________________________________________ To get your own FREE ZDNet Onebox - FREE voicemail, email, and fax, all in one place - sign up today at http://www.zdnetonebox.com Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=17435
