What if the Coroner has no grounds for requesting the autopsy?
Either invite him to the event, or have it taped and sent to him.

If you intend to freeze only the head, he can perform whatever
autopsy he wants on the body.  I am sure he has no grounds for
ordering an autopsy of the brain (if such a thing is done at all).
