Re Ben Best's suggestion that we should have some sort of
presence in San Francisco at the World Science Fiction
Convention:

First, please remember the DISMAL experience that Brenda
Peters had at similar event. I've dealt with science
fictionoids all my life, and in my experience, most of them
are only interested in fiction.

For this reason, I am doubtful about renting a room or a
table to give our literature.

However, there is absolutely no cost associated with running
a program item, so I think Ben is onto a good idea, here. I
suggest that rather than bring immortality into it, we should
title the panel something like, "Visit the Future via
Cryonics."

I have been reading the essays submitted for the Omni
contest, and about half of them mention that the writer
always wanted to see the future; hence is interested in
cryonics. I found the same thing in responses to the small
survey that I ran in Cryonics magazine. And I certainly feel
this myself, as a science-fiction reader. Thus, I suggest
that "see the future" is the closest thing to a concept with
universal appeal in the science-fiction community.

How about it, Ben?
