Mike Darwin was right in his assessment of the hatred of the poor in the
Islamic nations toward the West, especially the US.

He was wrong in believing it cannot be controlled effectively.

After THIS crisis is over it will not matter how many poor people hate us if
their terrorist leadership is regularly hunted down and assassinated via
covert action.

This will now become policy.

If it does not, civilization will fall.

Civilization will not fall.  Too many of our professional military people
know how to properly defend it.

Over time as world wealth expands, the underlying cause of the hatred (envy)
will be removed increasingly.

In the meantime, I do not fear millions who have only rocks to throw when
they are overseas.  Those who are local sympathizers will be neutralized by
appropriate police action.

It no longer matters whether anyone thinks this is "moral" or not.

It is simply going to happen.

I agree with Robert Ettinger in his overall assessment of the outcomes.

I remain optimistic especially now that an effective military policy will be
implemented henceforth.

It was long overdue.
