Let's get a little perspective here: 1. Most Afghans hate the Taliban. 2. The US armed the Taliban, making it possible for them to defeat the less fanatical Afghan groups. 3. The US armed and funded Bin Laden. 4. The US kept a blockade on the poor of Iraq for ten years, killing thousands of poverty-stricken children and manufacturing hundreds of thoudans of potential terrorists. 5. The US launched terror strikes against the medical industry in the Sudan because Clinton had an affair with an intern. Hunting down terrorists is a good idea. There's plenty right here in the US government; after we get those we can go after the foreign ones too. But blowing up people who happen to be living in the cities that the terrorists infest (Washington D.C., for instance) is not a "pro-civilization" idea. Are you familiar with the Lusitania, Mr. Platt? --part1_67.19dbc5e4.28d612e9_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=17579
