If I remember correctly, we would have paid for the equipment in 5 to 7 years with the savings from making our own liquid nitrogen vs continuing to buy it. This date is probably shorter now that we have more patients and use more of the stuff. But the BIGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSTTTT benefit would be, (and what I meant for the main point of my original post) would be the safety issue. No price can be put on the safety of having our own LN2 making capability if war or terrorist attacks make it impossible for suppliers to deliver LN2 to Alcor!
