X-Message-Number: 17795 Date: Fri, 19 Oct 2001 16:32:42 -0400 (EDT) From: Charles Platt <> Subject: correction I have been told that I mis-remembered Mike Darwin's brain-sampling proposal, which I described in yesterday's CryoNet. The sampling would have been done before the temperature was reduced to that of liquid nitrogen. Consequently the sampling would not have revealed information about the patient after cooldown. I apologize for the error, although it does not affect my primary point, that cryonics is a speculative procedure which does not allow us to find out _exactly_ what we are doing.
