Their lyrics got me to reading Ayn Rand (from the 2112 album). While I no longer
listen to them today I'd have to agree that from a purely intellectual point of
view they were (and I suppose continue to be) a singularly unique band.

Dani,

I'm puzzled. I suppose tastes change though personally I'm having a hard time
trying to identify any musical artist or band that I once listened to but no
longer would as it might simply just be a matter being in a certain mood
conducive to that artist or bands type of music. So is there a particular reason

you no longer listen to RUSH today? Is it a change of political or religious
belief or a change of temperament? Just curious. Oh oh, I too saw em in concert
only a couple of years ago here in Portland, Oregon (nearest big city to me).
The coolest thing about the whole event was seeing entire families there to

see them that spanned 3 and maybe even 4 generations. No kidding I saw
grandparents (first gen) with their children (second gen) along with their
children (third gen) and those children's babies (forth gen) in tow. It was a
beautiful sight!

Myself I find moods for all sorts of music ranging from Johann Pachelbel's -
Canon in D or Requiem by Mozart, to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin or Teen
Spirit by Nirvana and a whole bunch of things in between and sideways of these.
I love "Radar Love" by Golden Earring for driving down a lonely highway

going really really too fast! Oh and can anyone give me the correct mood for
Maurice Ravel's Bolero? ;)p

Ok while on the subject of music I'd like to share with you all some ambient
music I love for sleeping, resting and meditating by. Guess what the name of the
first stream is? No takers? Ok , it's... get this... CRYOSLEEP! Hehe

Here's the Winamp net radio (Shoutcast) link to it:

Here's the main link to many more Ambient music streams:

Some of my favorites found here for sleeping or just relaxing are: Axioms,
Groove Salad, Drone Zone, SleepBot and BlueMars. BlueMars is at the same website
as Cryosleep. The best ones for sleeping are a continuous stream of ambient
ethereal in nature music with little abruptness to stir one from slumber. They

take hours to repeat so I've found them very conducive to a good nights rest.
Enjoy.

You can choose a ready guide

If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
And kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
