Subject: Longevity after 60

There is an interesting article in "Modern Maturity" magazine
November/December 2001 issue.

According to the article, new studies show that genes play a reduced role
in longevity after you reach 60 years of age. The article says that
genetic dispositions for death usually have done their job by the time you
reach 60. If you reach 60, less depend on genes and more depends on how
you take care of yourself.

From my take on the article, it says that the important things are:
1.	Having a healthy marriage.
2.	How well you cope with problems = don't worry too much - or don't have
many.
3.	Exercise.
4.	Don't smoke.
5.	Don't get too fat. (They put it as watch your weight).
