I think that John has hit on an important point. I remember when I first
was attracted to Alcor and got the tiny "Cryonics" magazine that Mike
Darwin used to print articles in. I was impressed, waaaaaaaaay back then,
by the stories about what the problems in cryonics, and at Alcor, were. It
was only by realizing that there were problems, and what they were, that we
members could be motivated to help out.

I am looking for a return to that policy with Dr. Lemler's appointment of
Charles Platt and Hugh Hixon to publish the new magazine they have just
started. I think that by putting some of Alcor's, (and cryonics' in
general), problems "out there" Alcor will find that they have a lot of
members with helpful resources.

Some of the things I would like to see discussed in this new magazine are:

1.	What was/is the situation with BioTransport and Cells4Life.
2.	What is Alcor doing for security. Do the staff members receive training?
3.	What is/was the cost to Alcor of the Life Membership program? Should it
be undone, or continued?
4.	What is Alcor doing to offer the new vitrification-type technology,
(that they currently only offer to neuro patients) to whole body patients?
5.	Who are all these new staff members? Why not interview one each month?
6.	Who are all these doctors and experts on the medical and scientific
boards? Do they actually advise on a regular basis? How about
interviewing one each month?

OK Charles and Hugh, if you need any more suggestions for topics, why not
ask your readers. I wish you the best in this new venture.
