Therefore you are giving the power to make decisions about your possible eternal life to others. It may be that is all we can do at this time. We have the question, now we need the answer. (end) I am going to go here with my "gut" feeling. Which happens to be so strong I want to YELL it out! lol The duplicate clone brain with your "mind" uploaded into it is not really you(and yet it is, lol!), but instead a perfect copy, a "mind clone." The "self-circuit" continuity Robert Ettinger speaks of is not there. It is not REALLY me! Though it may is a PERFECT copy. And if the original dies, a perfect copy can carry on in their role in society and life. We are used to identical twins of the flesh, so why can't we get used to technological identical twins of the flesh AND mind? That is what an uploaded clone would be. It would also be sort of a trick on the clone brain which had been imprinted to be a person it would normally never have been. I find my understanding of identity truth to be simple to come to. I think some people are so wrapped up in philosophical and technical arguments that they can't see the forest through the trees. best wishes, John _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=18047
