William Henderson suggested that EPR held that quantum mechanics is inconsistent with relativity. I'm not working at the level of Mike Perry but if I recall correctly, QED employs special relativity as a premise. Also if there were an "action at a distance" in the form a correlation between remote events it need not facilitate communication if the results of such pairs of correlated experiments are still described by probability. As long as information cannot be communicated at faster than light speed there should not be any contradiction. Thus EPR does not support telepathy "period"! If telepathy exists it should be entirely possible to devise statistical tests to prove your contention. Why can't you parade such studies before us. Could it be that no such evidence exists? In science we endeavor to find the most parsimonious explanation for phenomenon. Any additional conceptual baggage is superfluous and should be dismissed. William, don't take this the wrong way, but I really do think that you would get a more favourable hearing for your ideas on another list. I suspect there are lists that deal with the paranormal, ufos, tree hugging, astral projection .....etc /gary Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=18112
